II. WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?

Through collaborating, we have learned that there are interesting problems we can still address with technopreneurship that affect not only engineering students, but also normal citizens and engineers in their respective fields. For example, lack of communication between contractors and citizens, misinformation, lack of programs and seminars about entrepreneurship, and unstable internet connectivity.

By talking about these problems, we figured out that some innovation’s problem is lack of budget and availability. One of the most interesting things we discussed during the meeting is eco-friendly construction. These are housing units or infrastructures made up of eco-friendly materials that may help mitigate some environmental problems. These will help preserve the environment by significantly reducing pollution and waste due to construction. However, due to its price and availability, it’s not commonly used in local construction. We also conclude that, since it's not well known, some contractors prefer traditional products. In addition, we also discussed that one of the problems in our educational system is the lack of general references for studying, which causes confusion among students.

We also learned that with technopreneurship, we can introduce these kinds of problems and solutions to the public. We can also inspire other technopreneurs to improve upon our innovations to help other people and society as well.
